Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Dear Muir Rock Family,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Almost....

For the first time since Teri passed away, I came home before midnight (usually I'll stay in San Diego) and woke up to Mayo right next to me. Then after my 8am yoga class with Kathy, my sister inspired me to make a card:

Isn't she the best?? Just reach out to her in case you need anything, she will get it done :)

Anyways I decided to make one myself like I've done for the past few years. She's very busy. Here it is:

Next year I hope to be on top of things by making a physical card.

Here's the back:

Here's what I wrote (easier to read than the picture). Basically an executive summary of this year's blog posts:

This year brought significant milestones alongside deep loss. In January, my dad passed away, and I am grateful for the life he lived and the many people he loved and served. I stayed grounded through movement, completing four triathlons and five Hyrox races, and setting a new Half Ironman PR in July. In August, I put my yoga sculpt certification to use by opening "Muir Rock Fitness and Yoga" in my garage, creating a space to share my love of fitness and "doing hard things" with the local community in a fun and authentic way.

In November, Teri's family and I went on an eight day cruise to Mexico, which became a highlight of the year. It was a much needed opportunity to step away, breathe, and fully disconnect from work for the first time since I started In August 2024. Time spent with Teri's family, reconnecting, and meeting new friends made the experience something I'll never forget!

2025 has been shaped by learning to recognize the rain while still noticing the light ahead. I shared the quote at the top during a few of my yoga sculpt classes as a reminder that patience, perseverance, and humility often carry us forward before clarity arrives. It has been another year of rebuilding and remembering, learning to give myself grace as I continue moving forward on this earth without Teri and my dad.

As this year comes to a close, I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus, for the people who continue to show up and love me in the ways I don't deserve, and my dog Mayo. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday season, filled with gratitude, light, and hope for the year ahead. This year brought significant milestones alongside deep loss. <end of card>

For those still reading, just want to say how thankful I am for each of you and still being a part of this journey.

That's it for now. See you in 2026! Or maybe I'll post again at the end of 2025.

Blessings,

Erwin

Not too late to send me a Christmas card. I love all of these!
